Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route

The Marangu Route, also known as the “Coca-Cola Route”, is one of the most popular and well-known routes for climbing Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. It offers an alternative for trekkers who do not want to sleep in a tent, as comfortable huts with mattress beds and communal toilet facilities are available.

The route covers approximately 64 kilometers (round trip) and is characterized by its gentle climb up to Kibo Hut, making it one of the “easiest” routes. Nevertheless, summit day represents a significant challenge and requires good physical fitness and altitude adaptation. You will pass through different ecological zones, starting in the dense rainforest, rich in tropical vegetation and a variety of animal species, including monkeys and exotic birds. As the altitude increases, the landscape changes into heath and moorland with characteristic plants such as lobelia and senecia. These sections offer impressive views of the surrounding valleys and the summit of Kilimanjaro.
The final stage takes you through an alpine desert, a barren, rocky landscape, with the climb often taking place at night to witness the spectacular sunrise at the summit.
Experience at heights, sure-footedness and good endurance are prerequisites for participation.

We highly recommend adding a few days of safari to this trip. Tanzania should not be left without experiencing the impressive wildlife and breathtaking landscapes.

Mera Peak (6,461m) Climbing

Mera Peak Climbing, a hard but rewarding expedition will take you from the main trails to Everest into the sparsely populated, wild and pristine Hinku Valley in the Makalu Barun National Park.

The Mera Peak is the highest trekking summit in Nepal at 6,461 m. With the summit of Mera Peak Central you reach a view point with spectacular views of five eight-thousand-meter peaks: Cho Oyu to the northwest, Everest and Lhotse to the north, and Makalu and Kanchenjunga to the northeast.
After landing in Phablu, you will hike through the pristine valley with dense rhododendron forests, small Sherpa villages, picturesque mountain meadows and breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan giants until you reach Base Camp. From here it goes over a charming glacier landscape to the summit. Although the ascent to the summit is challenging, the technical requirements are comparatively low and well-endowed with good stamina, ice pick and crampons experience and willpower.

Lobuche East Climbing (6.119 m) with Gokyo Ri

At 6,119 meters, Lobuche East Peak is one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal and is considered by many mountaineers to be the perfect preparation for a planned ascent of Mt. Everest.

From the summit you have one of the most beautiful mountain panoramas, with Mt. Everest (8,849 m), Cho Oyu (8,201 m), Lothse (8,516 m), Makalu (8,485 m), as well as numerous other mountain giants, including Ama Dablam (the Matterhorn of the Himalayas), which can be experienced in the Himalayas of Nepal.
After an impressive flight, the trekking tour begins at the airport in Lukla (2,800 m). First it goes to Namche Bazaar, the capital of the Sherpas and from there towards the breathtaking lakes of Gokyo. At Gokyo Ri (5,357 m) you get a foretaste of the mountain panoramas of the Khumbu region. After crossing the Cho La (5,431 m), we are well acclimatized for the high camp of Lobuche East. After successfully climbing Lobuche East, we make our way back to Lukla, but not before we’ve hiked to Everest Base Camp.

At Lobuche East there is an approx. 45 degree steep ice and snow passage and is therefore comparable to Island Peak in terms of difficulty.

The tour requires good health, fitness, solid mountain hiking and climbing experience as well as surefootedness and a head for heights.
